About Scott Forsyth MD
Dr. Scott Forsyth has been a civil aviation medical examiner for Transport Canada since 2001, and an FAA Aviation Medical Examiner as of 2023. As a graduate of Law School and Medical School from the University of Calgary, Scott has incorporated his legal background, along with community family medical practice, as a past board director and chair of the Calgary West Central Primary Care Network.
In 2021 Scott became the newest addition to the medical team at YBW Aeromedical Clinic in Springbank. Scott’s avid interest in the aviation field is further heightened through his current study toward a private pilot’s licence, through the Calgary Flying Club.
Outside of aviation medicine Scott pursues his passion for photography as Canadian Geographic's Photographer-in-Residence and travel ambassador, and as author for Rocky Mountain Books.
